I was born in Colombia, South America. I came to the USA in 1990 and attended Kansas State University. I studied Electrical Engineering there until I went to Mexico for a summer as a volunteer through KSU and fell in love with working with children.
I graduated in Rehabilitation Counseling and Psychology in 2000 from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
In 2011 I graduated from "Universidad de Granada" with Master in Education and Spanish. My thesis was about how we can apply Neuroscience in Education for a more effective learning. I always believed anyone can learn, is just up to us, the educators, to find out how to teach. Understanding how the brain stores information and keeps it or discharges it I will be able to focus in what really matters in my classroom.
I love being able to teach intrinsic discipline through Great Expectations. Wilson Rangers will truly lead the way in the future by applying these expectations in their daily life.
I'm married and mother of three children. My children speak English and Spanish as well as some Arabic.
I’m thankful today for being part of such great
team.
